All applicants who have applied as of this date will be subject to a background check in order to be formally credentialed. Students will be required to supply personal information such as a social security number and date of birth. This credential will ensure the volunteer the necessary access to specific volunteer areas. Students selected who apply after August 2 will be placed in volunteer areas that do not require a formal credential.
Volunteers may be asked to commit to a pre-determined schedule of assignments leading up to the days of the debate, and to be available for on-call assignments well in advance of the debate.
Applicants should choose one volunteer category and note the top three positions of interest. You may also note if you are interested in being an alternate or being randomly placed if all desired positions you've noted have been filled. Students will be placed in volunteer areas based upon their specific qualifications and on a first come, first served basis.
While all volunteers may be called upon to assist with projects from September 19-27, those selecting Media Production or Debate Production volunteer opportunities must have flexible schedules during this time period.
