It was another outstanding week for Hofstra redshirt sophomore Nikki Mennella as she starred offensively in leading Hofstra to a 1-1 week, including a rout of Wagner and a narrow loss to Rutgers.<br > <br > For the week, Mennella totaled 15 points on eight goals and seven assists, while also adding nine draw controls and a ground ball. <br > <br > On Tuesday it was a career performance in a career filled with them as she poured in a career-high 10 points on a career-high six goals and four assists. She also added five draw controls in the game. In addition, she became the 22nd member of the 100-Point Club at Hofstra in the process. The 10 points are the third-most by an NCAA Division I player this season and the most by a CAA player this year. In fact, Mennella has the top three single-game point totals this season in the CAA. <br > <br > On Saturday she had another strong performance with a game-high five points on two goals and three assists, while also contributing four draw controls. <br > <br > She now has five hat tricks this season and has tallied five or more points in five of the six games she has played in this year.
