Journalist and author Jim Lehrer, former news anchor of PBS NewsHour, discussed his experience hosting 11 presidential debates and his book about the process Tension City with the Class of 2016 as part of Hofstra’s Welcome Week activities. The book was the common reading for first-year students. Lehrer, who signed copies of his book for students, will be moderating the first presidential debate on October 3, 2012.
