Consortium Agreements
You may arrange to visit another school to complete a small number of courses away from Hofstra. To allow financial aid funds to assist with paying those expenses, a consortium agreement is required between Hofstra and the school you visit. This is a legal agreement allowing the costs of that school to be included in determining your eligibility and establishes that Hofstra will be disbursing your financial aid. You must complete the following for permission to be a visiting student at another school:
- Meet with the Study Abroad/Internship Coordinator in 207 Roosevelt Hall to discuss study/internship opportunities.
- Complete the application for "Permission to study at Another Institution" form (only available in 207 Roosevelt Hall
Please note: You may use Hofstra University funds (for Tuition-only costs) while attending another school under a consortium agreement. If you want Financial Aid funds to assist with paying expenses, you must provide a copy of the application for "Permission to study at Another Institution" to the Office of Financial Aid after it is approved. After you meet all Financial Aid Requirements, a consortium agreement with the host will be processed.
