A Medication Request Form must be filled out by your child's physician, and must either be sent into the camp office ahead of time or accompany the medication being dropped off.

Medication must be in the original container, including the label with your campers name, dosage, and the prescriber's name.

Physical Education Building

From New York City
  • From the Queens Midtown Tunnel, continue on the Long Island Expressway (I-495) East to exit 38, Northern State Parkway East, to the Meadowbrook Parkway South (exit 31A). Stay on the Meadowbrook Parkway until Exit M4 (sign reads "Hempstead" and "Coliseum"). Follow "From All Points," below.
From the Throgs Neck Bridge
  • Take Cross Island Parkway (first exit over the bridge on right) to the Grand Central Parkway East (Exit 29, exit forks - stay left). Grand Central Parkway will become the Northern State Parkway East, follow to Exit 31A (Meadowbrook Parkway South). Take the Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 (sign reads "Hempstead" and "Coliseum"). Follow "From All Points," below.
From Eastern Long Island
  • Take the Northern State Parkway West, to the Meadowbrook Parkway South (Exit 31A) or take the Southern State Parkway West to the Meadowbrook Parkway North (Exit 22N). Stay on the Meadowbrook Parkway until Exit M4 (sign reads "Hempstead" and "Coliseum"). Follow "From All Points," below.
From All Points
  • From Exit M4 of the Meadowbrook Parkway you will be on Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Stay on 24W for about one mile. Pass Nassau Coliseum. Hofstra University is on both sides of Hempstead Turnpike. You will see three overhead walkways. For the North Campus Main Entrance, make the first right after the first overhead walkway. Welcome to Hofstra!

  • Summer Camp Office

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, go under both walkways; after second walkway, make a right at the first light, Oak Street. Office will be the second building on the left.

  • Physical Education Building and Swim Center

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, go under walkway to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to second stop sign and make a right. The first building on your right-hand side will be the Physical Education Building. The Swim center is located within the same building.

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, go under walkway to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to second stop sign and make a right. The first building on your right-hand side will be the Physical Education Building.

  • James M. Shuart Stadium

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Head west on Hempstead Turnpike to Uniondale Avenue. Make a left, proceed to the Hofstra entrance, and turn right. The second building on your right side is James M. Shuart Stadium.

  • David S. Mack Sports & Exhibition Complex

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, pass Nassau Coliseum, and go under walkway to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to second stop sign and make a right. The second building on your right-hand side will be the Mack Sports & Exhibition Complex.

  • Hofstra Student Center

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, after first walkbridge, go to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to first stop sign, and make a left and park. Walk towards the Clock Tower; enter the Student Center.

  • Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater

    Take the Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 West (Hempstead Turnpike-Coliseum). This will be the same exit number whether you are on the Meadowbrook Parkway northbound or southbound. Follow the exit ramp to Hempstead Turnpike - West. On Hempstead Turnpike, at the third traffic light, turn right before the second pedestrian bridge spanning Hempstead Turnpike, and enter the campus. At the second stop sign, bear left. You will see a large parking field on the right; park in any non-restricted area.

    Walk towards the Bell Tower, which is a landmark for the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center. Upon entering the front doors of the Student Center, walk straight ahead through the atrium and over the pedestrian bridge spanning Hemsptead Turnpike. Once on the other side of Hempstead Turnpike, you will be in the lobby of the Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library. To your right is the main lobby. To your left will be the Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater through the double glass doors.

  • Hofstra Fitness Center

    Take Hempstead Tpke. going west, make a right onto Earl Ovington Blvd., and a make left at first light into campus. Go to first stop sign and make a right, go to second stop sign and make a left, at the third stop sign make a right. Fitness Center is straight ahead.

  • Hofstra Soccer Stadium

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, pass Nassau Coliseum, and go under walkway to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to second stop sign and make a right. In approximatley .2 miles the Soccer Stadium will be on your right hand side.

  • Emily and Jerry Spiegel Theater

    From the West: Travel through the village of Hempstead on Hempstead Tpke. Go under the second Unispan (walk-over). At the next light, make a right onto California Ave. Before the Stop Sign, make a right into the parking lot. Theater is the building on the right.
    From the East: On Hempstead Tpke, turn left at the traffic light before the second Unispan (walk-over) onto California Ave. Before the Stop Sign, make a right into the parking lot. Theater is the building on the right

  • Hofstra University Field

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, pass Nassau Coliseum, and go under walkway to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to second stop sign and make a right. In approximatley .2 miles University Field will be on your left hand side.

  • Hofstra University Indoor Practice Facility

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, directly after the Nassau Coliseum, make a right hand turn onto Earl Ovington Blvd. Make your first left onto Hofstra's campus, and go to your left. The Hofstra Bubble will be directly in front of you.

  • Hofstra Bill Edwards Stadium

    Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4 - Route 24 West (Hempstead Turnpike). Heading west on Hempstead Turnpike, pass Nassau Coliseum, and go under walkway to the first light. Make a right into the main entrance of campus. Go to second stop sign and make a right. In approximatley 0.4 miles Bill Edwards Stadium will be on your right hand side.
