To be considered for the Educational Technology programs, you must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a valid New York State initial certification in one of the following:

  • Early childhood
  • Childhood
  • Adolescence (grades 7-12)
  • Special subjects (fine arts, music)
  • Educational technology

Start your application online where you can upload the following documents:

  • Transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities. You may initially submit unofficial copies of your transcripts for your application review, but official transcripts will be required once you are accepted into the program.
  • A recent writing sample.
  • Statement of purpose indicating your professional intent and pertinent background.

An interview with a faculty member is required.

The MA in Educational Technology program is between 33-36 credits. The Advanced Certificate is 15 - 18 credits.

Faculty Profiles

Roberto Joseph

Dr. Roberto Joseph, Associate Professor and Program Director for the Master of Arts in Technology for Learning, holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University. His primary research areas lie in culture in educational technologies and systemic change in education, on which he has published several articles. As a Gates Millennium Scholar, he is committed to helping schools create meaningful learning environments to answer the future needs of students and society.
