2006 Fine Arts Student Exhibition: Selected Works
April 24 - June 18, 2006
Lowenfeld Exhibition Hall, 10th floor, Axinn Library
At Hofstra University, students interested in the fine arts choose from a variety of course offerings ranging from drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography to graphic, new media and industrial design. The work in this exhibition, selected by the fine arts faculty, is part of the larger Hofstra University Student Show that takes place in Calkins Hall every year. Students studying art at Hofstra demonstrate in their work a variety of aesthetic concerns as well as an awareness of art history and contemporary art issues.
The Fine Arts Department welcomes everyone to the opening reception for the Student Show in Calkins Hall at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3. The exhibition in Calkins Hall will remain on display through graduation.
