With the University’s 244-acre campus, including its nationally recognized arboretum and gardens serving as an exhibition space, the Museum showcases more than 70 works of sculpture including those by major 20th century artists such as Seymour Lipton, Paul Manship, Henry Moore, and Tony Rosenthal. In 2008, the University commissioned its first work to recognize the major contributions of people of color, and the artist Vinnie Bagwell’s sculpture Frederick Douglass Circle is now permanently exhibited on the University’s south campus immediately in front of Monroe Hall.
