Learning and Teaching Doctoral Society
The purpose of the L&T Doctoral Society shall be to promote the professional development of the educators and educational researchers in the Doctoral Program in Learning and Teaching, by engaging them in professional opportunities that bridge preparation and practice. These opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
- An annual Doctoral Research Symposium (at which students make presentations and participate in poster sessions involving their doctoral work),
- An annual Doctoral Dinner (at which guest speakers and program graduates make presentations, the accomplishments of Society members are celebrated, and awards are given out), and
- A program for supporting students for travel expenses related to making presentations at conferences (e.g., American Educational Research Association).
