Peter S. Kalikow
Peter S. Kalikow is president of H.J. Kalikow & Company, LLC, one of New York City's leading real estate firms, and former chairman of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). In 1995, he was appointed a commissioner of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey by Governor George E. Pataki.

Mr. Kalikow is a member of Hofstra's Board of Trustees and an alumnus, having earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Hofstra in 1965. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of law degree in 1986 and was named the university's Alumni of the Year in 1988.
He began his career in real estate in 1967 and became president of H.J. Kalikow & Co. in 1973. Following his father's death in 1982, he assumed responsibility for all Kalikow holdings. Mr. Kalikow is the third generation to preside over his family's 90-year-old real estate company.
Mr. Kalikow is the former owner and publisher of the New York Post, the oldest daily newspaper in America, founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1801. He is an active participant in real estate industry associations and is also involved in civic affairs and numerous religious and philanthropic efforts.
Mr. Kalikow is a trustee of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. In May 1997, the Peter and Mary Kalikow Pediatric Intensive Care Unit was established at New York Hospital. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the New York Holocaust Museum and has served on the board of directors of the Jewish National Fund.
Born in New York City, Mr. Kalikow is married to the former Mary Typaldos Jacobatos. They have two children.
