User Accounts and Password Policy
Access to Hofstra University’s computer systems is restricted to only those users who have an account and password. All users are responsible for taking the appropriate steps to protect their user accounts and passwords.
Payment Card Industry (PCI) Standards
Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards were developed by the card issuers (including VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and other major card issuers) to protect credit card data. The University is required to comply with these PCI standards.
All areas that process card payments must complete a self assessment using the University's Department PCI Self-Assessment Questionnaire.
Credit Card Data Security Policy
Departments that accept credit and debit cards must comply with University’s Credit Card Data Security Policy.
