About the Podcast

The Health Line: Issues that Shape Our Wellbeing is a public service radio program co-produced by Hofstra University’s School of Health Sciences and WRHU that airs on WRHU 88.7 FM, Radio Hofstra University. Hosted by Dr. Andrea Ault-Brutus, the podcast provides engaging and informative content on the factors that shape our health and well-being, along with innovative insights that helps us gain a better understanding of our ever-evolving, complex health care system.

Andrea Aut-Brutus

Dr. Andrea Ault-Brutus is a health services researcher and a former public health professional with over 25 years of experience improving access to quality health care and improving health outcomes for vulnerable, underserved populations. She is currently a Special Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health at Hofstra University and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Science Education at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University/Northwell. She previously served as the Director of Health Equity for the Nassau County Department of Health, where she conducted informative webinars for the residents of Nassau County on a range of health topics in collaboration with local experts. Dr. Ault-Brutus was also previously the Senior Director of the Mental Health Innovation Lab at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Associate Director of the Health Equity Research Lab, Cambridge Health Alliance/ Harvard Medical School. She received her M.P.A. in Health Policy & Management from New York University and her Ph.D. in Health Policy from Harvard University.
