Watch a Webcast Replay of the Symposium
Throughout the world, positive social messages are increasingly interwoven in the narratives of television and radio programs. The resulting behavior changes can be as dramatic as the plots themselves. At the same time, a convergence of issues suggests that the health and well-being of women is not so much a matter of research, but rather a matter of policy and advocacy. This interdisciplinary symposium will highlight the unique role entertainment can play in dealing with social and health issues that affect women in this country and around the world.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Neal Baer, executive producer of Law & Order: SVU, who will speak at the symposium luncheon about "Telling Stories While Keeping Ratings High - The Creative Challenge."
A complete schedule of events and information about registration fees is available in the symposium registration program.
