Writing Center Appointments

Paper drop-off appointments are available throughout the week with a ~24 hour turnaround (see “paper drop-off schedule on https://hofstra.mywconline.com)

The Writing Center offers synchronous online appointments, which allow you to work one-to-one with a writing tutor as you would by coming into the Center, but from anywhere!

The Writing Center is now offering limited online asynchronous appointments where writers drop off their paper by uploading it to WCOnline via the online schedule and tutors return feedback in approximately 24 hours. Try out this service on a draft of a paper to help guide your revisions!

NEW Cancellation Policy

Please note our new cancellation policy: Appointments can only be canceled or modified by the client up to 20 hours before the appointment’s start time. Any changes after this point will need to be done by the Writing Center, though we do not accept last-minute cancellations. (These will be marked as no-shows.) Clients who are marked as no-shows twice will be prevented from utilizing the Writing Center for the remainder of the term.
