Document Upload and Submission Hints
There are some slight but important procedural differences in submission requirements between course-based assessments (assignments uploaded for course assignments) and documents submitted as part of field experience binders.
Some quick distinctions:
For course assignments prior to field experiences, your professor will not be able to see your work until you click SUBMIT.
- Click on “click here to Attach”
- Follow the prompts in the pop-up box
- Create a new file => continue
- Click on “file” in the dropdown when it asks for artifact type, and then attach file (browse to find the document, and then at the bottom, click SAVE)
- Get message that artifact has been attached => click OK
- Now you have three choices:
- PREFERABLE: Click SUBMIT if you have completed the entire assignment and are ready to submit it to your professor for grading.
- Click SAVE to keep it in your account for later submission, but your professor will NOT be able to see it.
- Click CANCEL to start all over again (or click the grey “x” next to the name of the document to delete it)
For documents (lesson plans, reflections, etc.) as part of a field experience binder, your professor WILL be able to see what you have uploaded along the way, but only if you click SAVE a second time.
- Click on the “click here to Attach”
- Follow the prompts in the pop-up box
- Create a new file => continue
- Click on “file” in the dropdown when it asks for artifact type, and then attach file (browse to find the document, and then at the bottom, click SAVE)
- Get message that artifact has been attached => click OK
- Once you see the name of the document in the appropriate place on your list of documents for that tab, you again have three choices:
- PREFERABLE: Click SAVE to allow your professor/cooperating teacher to see the document.
- Click COMPLETE only if you have completed everything in your binder at the end of the placement.
- Click CANCEL to start all over again (or click the grey “x” next to the name of the document to delete it)
