
Getting Started With Your New Campus Job
Congratulations! Your campus job offer acceptance marks the start of something exciting!

Next Steps
Now that you’ve secured a campus job, it’s time to complete some essential steps to officially begin working and getting paid. Remember, work cannot start until all forms are properly submitted.
Step 1: SSN (Social Security Number)
Apply for a Social Security Card if you don’t already have one.
Step 2: Paperwork
Review and complete the new hire paperwork:
- Payroll Data Form
- Electronic W-2 Consent Form
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Form Return page 1 and, if applicable, page 3
- Complete page 1 down to signature and date
- Submit required documents (see page 2)
- Confidentiality Agreement and Security Policy
- Return only Page 4
- Employee Opt-Out of NYS Paid Family Leave Benefits
- Return only Page 1
- Direct Deposit Setup
- Return either a direct deposit letter or voided check(document must include routing and account number).
Step 3: Appointment
Schedule an in-person appointment with the Office of Student Employment (OSE) to submit the completed new hire paperwork and present your identification documents.

Bring your completed paperwork and the following documents with you to this meeting:
- Passport(s) with entering and departing stamps
- Visa(s)
- I-20
- I-94
- Social Security card
Step 4: Payroll
Following your appointment with the Office of Student Employment, you must go directly to the Payroll Office at the rear of the same building and provide them with the following:
- Passport(s) with entering and departing stamps
- Visa(s)
- I-20
- Most recent I-94
- Social Security card
