Audio Recording Agreement

Students receiving an accommodation that requires use of recording course material must utilize their technology appropriately. Students will notify professors of their accommodation by providing them with their Letter of Accommodation (LOA) at the start semester, for each course.

  1. The faculty member have discretion to require that recording during class be terminated during classes or portions of classes which involve personal discussion and self-disclosure, where the professor instructs all students to cease taking notes.
  2. Audio recording for class lecture only and does not include interactive classes and/or group discussions.
  3. Exporting, uploading, or sharing of any recording software and any files created is prohibited.
  4. Student agrees to waive any rights to ownership of audio recordings for the semester.
  5. Student agrees to erase any audio recordings or turn over any audio recordings to the instructor upon completion of the course.
  6. Students pledge that all audio recordings will be used solely for the purpose of access to course content to assist with exams, homework, papers, and class assignments, and will not be used for any other means or shared with others.
