James Madison Memorial Fellowship 
The James Madison Foundation offers fellowships of up to $24,000 for an MA, MAT or MEd program. These fellowships are for social studies teachers who will be teaching the US Constitution as part of their American history, civics, and/or American government courses for grades 7-12.

Institute for Citizens & Scholars
Since our founding 75 years ago, Citizens & Scholars has prepared new generations of American citizenry by opening doors to higher education, supporting visionary thinkers, scholars, and teachers, and creating a thoughtful space for innovation. We support leaders, faculty, and doctoral students who are broadening the perspectives young people need to become tomorrow’s empowered citizens.

Teach for America
Make an immediate impact on students in high-needs schools and communities. Commit to teaching full-time for 2 years in an underserved school and get hired by a local school or district. Receive salary and benefits directly from the school or district.

Applegate 
The Applegate-Jackson-Parks Future Teacher Scholarship awards $1,000 annually to an education student who exemplifies dedication to Right to Work principles. Open to individuals attending a U.S. institution with a major in education.

Jack Kinnaman 
The NEA-Retired Jack Kinnaman Scholarship Fund was established in honor of Jack Kinnaman, the then-serving NEA-Retired Vice President. At his demise, the family wished to establish a scholarship program in his honor, thus beginning a much needed assistance activity for worthy aspiring educators.
In the first year of the program in 2002, a scholarship of $1,000 was awarded to one recipient. As Retired members have continued to generously donate, the amount has greatly increased to five scholarships of $3,500 each

Phi Delta Kappa 
Our scholarship program ties you into a network of educators and offers many one-time and renewable awards. We have over 100 scholarships available – with one-time and renewable awards ranging from $500 to $4,000.

TEACH Grant
