At first glance The ‘Thomas’ Abraham Lincoln may seem to be a traditional representational sculpture of President Lincoln. However, closer examination reveals a heightened sense of drama, motion and emotion coming from the work — almost as if catching Lincoln in an unguarded moment after delivering an impassioned speech. This contemporary work employs a modern sensibility to the image of the 16th president of the United States.
