LGBTQIA+ Studies
LGBTQIA+ Studies focuses on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, their history and culture, sexualities and genders as identities, social statuses, categories of knowledge, and as lenses that help us to frame how we understand our world.
Scholarships
In 2002, Hofstra University established an unprecedented scholarship program for students engaged in service to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQIA+) community.
The Pride Network (TPN)
The Pride Network is an organization, powered by young adults, uniting people, and organizations within the LGBTQIA+ movement. TPN encourages the self-expression of LGBTQIA+ students and their allies through support, promotion, and production of media. TPN works to end bias and prejudice by providing education and practical solutions to facilitate change.
Queer and Trans People of Color Coalition (QTPOCC)
The Queer and Trans People of Color Coalition strives to create a safe space conducive for LGBTQIA+ people of color and their allies to have proactive discussions about social justice and effective allyship, and to evoke positive change in our communities.
