  • A First-Gen’s Guide to Grad School – 1 p.m. – First-Gen X Commuter Lounge – Room 221 Student Center. Got questions about how to apply for grad school? What does it all mean? We’ve got you covered. Join us to learn about the application process, get advice, and grab a great door prize!
  • Hofstra for Free (or cheap!) – 5 p.m. – First-Gen X Commuter Lounge: Room 221C Student Center. Looking for ways to maximize fun without spending much (or any) money? Join Director of First-Gen Support and Engagement Russ Smith to learn ways to keep busy and keep saving!

Wednesday, November 6:

  • Motivation Management with CAE – 1 p.m. – Room 101 Davison Hall. Join Director Diane Herbert (proud first-gen!) to learn ways to stay motivated and keep moving toward your academic and personal goals.
  • First-Gen Family Dinner – 6:30 p.m. – Amsterdam House – Join in our monthly gathering of free food and fun! This event is open to any interested first-gens or friends! Commuters welcome! RSVP by noon on Wednesday to get access!

Thursday, November 7:

  • Understanding and Building Your Credit – 11:20 a.m. – Student Center Greenhouse. Unsure of how all this credit card and credit score stuff works? Never fear! Join HU first-gen alum Amy Flores from Chase Bank to learn all about it!
