Bio

Having earned a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University in 1997 and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the State University at Albany in 1996, Ms. Pike began her career in public service consulting and human resources at a Big 4 accounting firm and a global investment banking firm, respectively. Since early 2000, Ms. Pike has served as an administrator at Hofstra University. For her first 15 years at Hofstra, she provided career counseling to students and alumni and collaborated with employers in what was then called "The Career Center." Ms. Pike earned several accolades in this field and held several leadership roles both with professional organizations and on campus. She also earned a certificate as a Professional Etiquette Coach. Since 2015, Ms. Pike has gained increasing responsibility as an associate provost at Hofstra. Ms. Pike handles various aspects of undergraduate and graduate academic affairs and most recently, also directs study abroad activities.

Ms. Pike teaches WSC 130, Professional Business Writing, using her professional experiences as a foundation to teach her students. She approaches the course with practicality and humor. Her real-life examples help support students in their journeys to becoming better professionals, no matter what industry they may choose.
