Keryn Hing-Avery is a part-time clinical supervisor in the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and an Adjunct Instructor at Hofstra University. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Hofstra University. For more than 10 years, Keryn has treated school-age students with a wide variety of diagnoses including but not limited to: language disorders, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, stuttering, cluttering, hearing impairment, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down's Syndrome. In addition, she has experience treating life skills, preschool, and the deaf population of all ages. Currently employed full time in a local public school district, Keryn specializes in treating secondary level school-age students whose communication disorder impacts their academic performance and vocational future. She has been a guest speaker at both the undergraduate and graduate level and teaches academic courses at local universities. She has skillfully mentored and supervised graduate students during internship and externship settings over the years.
