Bio
Charles Fleischman, Associate Professor, Department of Speech Communication, Rhetoric & Performance Studies, (Ph.D., New York University), teaches courses in communication theory, public speaking, rhetoric, debate, and nonverbal communication. Dr. Fleischman coaches the Hofstra University Forensics Team, and his research specializes in forensic practices, American public address, and contemporary political communication. He has directed forensics for over 20 years and is proud of his team's recent achievements, which include a New York State Championship, a top 10 divisional ranking at a national (N.F.A.) tournament, and a national champion in persuasive speaking. He is an avid New York Rangers fan, and is an expert in the field of Chinese buffet restaurants.
