Bio

Jacqueline M. Moline, MD, MSc, is an Occupational Medicine specialist.  Dr. Moline obtained her medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine of the University of Chicago in 1988 where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her first residency in Internal Medicine from Yale University in 1991. In 1993, she completed her second residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and also obtained her Masters of Science degree. She is board certified for both internal and occupational medicine. In 1993, Dr. Moline was the first recipient of the Fellowship for Occupational Medicine. She joined the faculty at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1994, and in 2000, she became Vice Chair in the Department of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Moline was also Residency Director of the Occupational Medicine Residency Program at Mount Sinai, and Director of the New York/New Jersey Education and Research Center in Occupational Safety and Health. 

Dr. Moline's research in the past has focused on the health effects of lead exposure, the health effects of theatrical smoke and fog on Actors, and the effect of creosote on exposed workers. For the past 15 years, Dr. Moline's endeavors have been centered on the medical evaluation and treatment of World Trade Center (WTC) responders. She began seeing individuals whose health was affected by the WTC disaster in October 2001, and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the federally-funded medical programs for WTC responders. She has published over 35 articles on the physical and mental health effects of WTC exposure. In July 2011, Dr. Moline was awarded a 5-year, $3.85M contract to be the Director of the Queens World Trade Center Health Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She has received numerous awards for her service to WTC responders.

She joined Northwell Health in April 2010 as Vice President of Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology and Prevention, and the founding Chair of Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology and Prevention of the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Moline works with the health system leadership to develop initiatives aimed at promoting and engaging health and wellness for Northwell Health's workforce, as well as community at large. She oversees population health and epidemiology research programs within Northwell Health.

Dr. Moline has been nationally and internationally recognized as an expert in the field of occupational medicine. In 2010, Dr. Moline was the recipient of the Kehoe Award of Merit from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine for significant contributions to research in the field of occupational and environmental medicine and in 2012, Dr. Moline was the recipient of the Sharon Joyce Schlanger Award for Outstanding Community Service. In 2014 Dr. Moline was named the VIP Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women. Dr. Moline serves on the editorial boards of several journals on industrial, occupational and environmental medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. Moline's professional affiliations also include membership in the American Medical Women's Association and the American Public Health Association. She is also an Executive Board Member for the New York Occupational & Environmental Medical Association, and the Chair of the Health & Wellness Committee of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York.
