I trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Tufts Unviersity School of Medicine, University of Washington and Center for Biologics Research, FDA. I have been an attending Physician, Division of Infectious Diseases, North Shore University Hospital since 1987. I was full-time faculty for 16, with responsibilities that included Fellowship Program Director, HIV Program Medical Director and independent laboratory head. In 2003, I left my full-time position and spent 6 years in industry, but retained my staff appointment, volunteering my time to mentor ID fellow in the out-patient. Since 2009, I run and independent consulting business and continue to volunteer in the ID clinic, where I teach out-patient HIV medicine to ID fellows.
