Bio

Margaret Stein is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Writing Studies and Rhetoric. She has taught courses including WSC 1, WSC 2, WSC 2A, and Business Writing. Many of the WSC 1 courses were part of the First Year Connections program, including Drama and Theater, Engineering, and the Pre-Med Program. Prof. Stein likes to encourage a relaxed, discussion-rich classroom environment. She has taught at Hofstra since 1997 and during that time has organized film festivals at Hofstra themed around writers and writing, as well as workshops about teaching sciences to non-science majors.

Prof. Stein loves to spend time outdoors exercising and gardening.
