Bio
Douglas Morrow, Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Radio, Television, Film and Internship Coordinator for The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, is also a writer/producer, idea generator and television/film production coordinator. Professor Morrow has combined a career in television and music with teaching and media education. For more than two decades his production company, D.A.M. Video Inc., has contracted with a broad range of clients - HBO, Madison Square Garden, MTV, VH1, Staler Center for the Arts, PBS, the Suffolk Theater, UN Web TV, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Sierra Club, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame, and various food television productions, among others - to write, produce, light, shoot, edit and consult in almost every genre of television. The focus of Doug’s work has become producing materials for non-for-profits and the arts. Before joining the faculty at Hofstra University, Professor Morrow taught at Rutgers University - Newark, St. John's University, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
On a personal note, Doug lives on the North Fork of Long Island with his wife Diane and son Antonio. He stays active in the New York music scene as drumming, writing and producing music has been a life passion. He is a semi-professional beach bum and enjoys riding around town in his 1965 Mustang coupe “Giddy Up” when time allows.
