Each school at Hofstra University has an independent DEI committee.
Hofstra is committed to enhancing representation of diverse perspectives and experiences throughout our learning communities. Creating and sustaining a welcoming and inclusive learning environment is everyone’s responsibility. Schools and departments are uniquely positioned to identify equity gaps in student achievement, faculty competencies, and inclusive pedagogies.
School-Based DEI Committees offer strategies to address DEI opportunities and challenges to align with institutional goals. DEI committees have a broad mission of working to build a culture of belonging for students, faculty, and staff within our schools and will provide vision and make recommendations to support academic and institutional success.
