The Equity Council is a university-wide standing committee established to engage and share unit-relevant activities strategies, impacts, and perspectives that guide diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) efforts.
The Equity Council consists of individuals representing a range of campus partners across the university. The council meets at least twice per semester.
The charge of the Equity Council includes:
- Expand the institutional dialogue of DEIB.
- Promote and coordinate campus-wide participation in DEIB efforts.
- Share successful strategies and practices, including ongoing and new initiatives that create a more equitable and inclusive campus community.
- Advise on the implementation of equity strategies and initiatives.
- Communicate institutional DEIB priorities and goals.
