The School of Education Office of Professional Development (PD) offers a range of workshops and seminars, in-person and online, for education professionals locally and globally. ADHD, Executive Function and Behavior Challenges Workshop Part 2:
Using a Collaborative Problem-Solving Approach With Students
to Improve Their Self-Regulation, Performance, and Advocacy Skills

Are managing challenging behaviors taking away too much valuable instruction time? 
This workshop provides strategies to handle disruptions and emotional dysregulation, addressing how to work with students with challenging behaviors. 
Using a Collaborative Problem-Solving Model, participants will apply a behavioral intervention process:

  • Learn techniques to strengthen emotional/self-regulation behaviors to help students improve problem-solving and advocacy skills.
  • Learn how to identify the thinking skill deficits that impact student behavior and apply a behavior intervention process to build skills, relationships, and internal drive.
  • Develop actionable strategies for partnering with students to set, plan, and achieve goals that will lead to successful classroom experiences.

Facilitated by Bonni Cohen, EdD, Parent Coach and Teacher Trainer for PTS Coaching
Participants will earn 1.5 CTLE hours
Light refreshments will be served.
