How To Apply
- You must first submit a BFA in Production application form.
- Once the form is received, the faculty member in your main are of focus in production will contact the you to set up an interview/portfolio review. These interviews may take place virtually (through zoom), or in-person on campus.
- You MUST submit an application to the university indicating that you wish to be a drama major.
Your portfolio may include:
- Production Photos: Showcasing the your involvement in previous productions.
- Design Samples (for designers): Including sketches, renderings, models, or realized designs.
- Prompt Books (for stage managers): Exhibiting organization, communication, and documentation skills.
- Directorial Concepts (for directors): Describing vision and approach for previously directed scenes or plays.
- Technical Drawings: (for designers or technical directors): Examples of drafting and CAD work.
- Production Paperwork: May include rehearsal reports, production schedules, cue sheets, etc.
- Additional Related Work: Examples could include artwork from other non-drama courses or self-generated work, photography, film or video work. Anything you would like to show us that will show off your creative or technical drive.
The BFA interview will additionally be evaluated for Drama Talent Scholarship opportunities available to incoming freshmen. There is no additional action required on your part, however, in order to be considered for a Talent Scholarship, your application and interview must be completed by Sunday, March 10, 2024.
