Full-time Hofstra students may apply to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund for financial assistance when a personal emergency arises that impacts their ability to afford unexpected expenses related to their Hofstra education (other than tuition and fees).
Some examples of unexpected expenses might include:
- Replacement book money (lost, stolen, replacement)
- Emergency meal money
- Emergency car repair
- Emergency travel needs
- Unexpected costs brought about by the COVID-19 situation
Students must complete this application in its entirety. All information will be verified by the Dean of Students Office. Monies may be allocated in the form of a gift (no repayment) or loan (repayment). When appropriate, financial need may be reviewed by Student Financial Services.
