The Frank G. Zarb School of Business brings financial literacy and business education into the lives of children in the community. By partnering with corporate organizations, we are able to educate students as young as fourth grade and continue that education through their college experience.
Money and Me
The Money and Me program is led by the Zarb School and the School of Education. Zarb School of Business undergraduate students teach personal money and management skills to elementary school students in the local community and gain invaluable hands-on experience.
Over the course of nine weeks, students learn about creating a budget, online banking, savings accounts, checking accounts, credit cards, debit cards, and credit reports. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to deliver the Money and Me program virtually through pre-recorded lessons, which were recorded and distributed to schools across Long Island.
The program is made possible by sponsors Apple Bank, Flushing Bank, and TD Bank.
We incorporate mathematics and ELA concepts, as well as practical applications in every lesson of the program.
Interactive Curriculum
We incorporate mathematics and ELA concepts, as well as practical applications in every lesson of the program.
