Hofstra University wellness and recreation and club sports consists of student organizations that offer recreational practice and collegiate competition in a particular sport. All clubs are open to all Hofstra University students. These teams are intended to be recreational or competitive, as well as educational and instructional, in an effort to connect students who share a common interest. All teams are voluntary, and welcoming of any and all skill levels.
All wellness and recreation and club sports teams are student-led clubs. They receive administrative support from the Department of Campus Recreation, the Dean of Students Office, and the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement (OSLE). Clubs receive additional support from their coaches, advisors, and student leaders elected to serve in the Campus Recreation Council (CRC). Clubs are funded by student fees and governed by the Student Government Association (SGA).
