The Center for Career Design & Development welcomes the opportunity to support all faculty and students enrolled in your coursework. We can engage with you and your students in a variety of ways, and in the past this has included providing interactive experiences that align with your course content (workshops, career assessments, visiting professionals, etc.) and developing course-specific resources that guide students through career development processes.

We welcome the opportunity to visit your class or to host them in our space, which is located in the Center for Career Design & Development in Weller Hall. Please contact us at any time to discuss how we can support your course initiatives.

Career Resources for Faculty

We know faculty play an important role in the career development of Hofstra students. Our Resources for Faculty document outlines a number of resources that you can share with students or include in your classroom to assist in facilitating the conversation among students who seek you out for guidance.

Industry Connections

We work with hiring managers and recruiters in all industries, including business, communication, health, education, engineering, government, human services, and others. We look forward to working with you to secure employment and experiential learning opportunities for our students and alumni. If you would like to refer an employer to us, please contact us and a member of our team will follow up with you.

Please note our existing employers often ask for faculty introductions for recruitment purposes. In this case, a member of our team will reach out to you before you receive any contact from an external partner. As such, if any employer approaches you directly indicating they were referred by us, please notify us immediately.

Employers in the Classroom

Faculty Form

The Center for Career Design & Development would like to invite you to participate in the Employers in the Classroom program. Please complete this form to arrange for a class visit from one of our employer partners. Inviting an employer to class can help students learn more about a specific company/organization, industry trends, employment opportunities and more.
