Nabeel Khan

For Nabeel Khan ’00, playing and introducing people to the sport of cricket has become as much of a passion as his success in the construction industry. During his time at Hofstra, Nabeel started a cricket club with fellow international students; the club played weekly matches against other universities at Eisenhower Park. He recently opened an indoor cricket club down the street from his alma mater.

Nabeel has always dreamt of becoming a builder – envisioning and constructing grand structures and engineering marvels. After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, he pursued employment in the construction industry.

His past employment experiences afforded him the opportunity to establish strong people contacts, and social and community-based events have always provided him with a great feeling of satisfaction. Nabeel’s career development continued as he became a franchisee with a nationwide company, followed by the establishment of his own business. The opportunity to work in high-rise building restoration was the catalyst for his success. He has established strong relationships with many owners, engineers, project managers, foremen, and work crews.

Nabeel comes from a family of cricket players, which has inspired him to contribute to taking cricket to the next level in the United States and establish a U.S. team presence at the 2020 Olympics. He is currently pursuing of a master’s degree in construction management at Columbia University.
