Q & A:
- What was your favorite class, who was your favorite professor, or what is your fondest memory of Hofstra?
MASS 001 History and Development was my favorite class. My favorite professor was Mario Murillo and my fondest memory was spending a lot of nights in Dempster Hall getting assignments done. - What was your first job after graduating from Hofstra, and what was the most valuable thing you learned there?
My first job after graduation was at New York’s Power 105 radio station in promotions. I learned the importance of building relationships with people. - What is your field of specialty, and how did you come to work in the industry?
My field of specialty is radio/TV as on-air talent and DJing big events. I came into the industry by my love of radio and music. While at Hofstra I got an internship at the radio station I currently work for, and the rest is history. I also work for Music Choice where I interview today’s biggest music artists. - What advice would you give current Hofstra students?
Stay focused on your goals and crawl before you walk. It takes time to get to a certain level so put in the work, build relationships and learn everything in the industry you can. - In one word, how would you describe Hofstra?
Greatttt!!! - How has your degree from Hofstra helped you?
My degree has helped me in many ways. It mainly helped me with learning how to work well with others and handle deadlines. - What is your favorite part of your job?
I love making people feel good by simply playing music. It’s also a great feeling knowing I’m reaching millions every time I speak or play a song on the radio. I’m living my dream. - Who in your field do you most admire?
Too many people to name, but I admire everyone, including my professors who have accomplished a lot in radio and taught me valuable information.
