Rabinowitz Honors College
Rabinowitz Honors College (RHC), through an innovative curriculum centered in the liberal arts and compatible with all majors, serves first-year students who perform at the highest academic levels in all undergraduate programs. The RHC curriculum is designed to provide a wide-ranging and multidisciplinary intellectual experience while fostering a sense of community and identity among the cohort of students who share the RHC experience. Admission to Rabinowitz Honors College is highly selective. Invitations to the Honors College are not based on any single criterion, such as standardized test scores, class rank or GPA.
We are looking for students who have challenged themselves in the classroom by taking and performing well in an honors, IB or AP curriculum while maintaining a strong high school average very close to or above an A-. For those who choose to submit a standardized test score, a 1340 or better on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math sections of the SAT (or a 29 on the ACT) is expected. The Honors College is looking for students who are prepared to take on leadership roles in the classroom and in all other aspects of campus life. Therefore, a solid record of extracurricular and co-curricular activity that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and leadership is an important factor in the Honors College admission process.
