International Year One
International Year One allows you to begin earning credits toward your degree even if you don’t meet the academic and English requirements for direct entry. The International Year One programs combine intensive language study, academic skills development and credit-bearing coursework in a customized program designed to help you move through your first year of undergraduate degree program at Hofstra University and graduate at the same amount of time as domestic students. Depending on your English language scores, you’ll enter International Year One through a 1-Semester, 2-Semester or 3-Semester Pathway program.

Transfer Program
If you’ve already completed college or university-level courses at another accredited university and would like to transfer to Hofstra University, our Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP) is for you. You’ll receive an estimate of transferable credits toward your degree before you start your program.
Advanced Degrees
Graduate Pathway Programs
Our Graduate Pathway program will give you the academic foundation, English language skills, and GMAT/GRE test preparation to successfully move on to your graduate degree. You’ll receive the highest level of support throughout your program, including personalized academic advising. Depending on your English language level, you will enter either the 1-Semester or 2-Semester graduate pathway.

Academic English
Academic English is designed for students who do not meet the English language entry requirements for the International Year One or Graduate Pathway programs. Upon successful completion of Academic English, students may progress to an INTO Hofstra Undergraduate or Graduate Pathway program.
