A healthy lifestyle is not only important for your body, but for your mind as well. At Hofstra, there are a variety of ways that you can stay healthy, both physically and mentally.
Fitness Center
We welcome and encourage all current students, employees, faculty, staff, and members to use the campus Fitness Center. All members are required to swipe their HofstraCard to access the facility. We recommend you bring water, a towel, and most importantly a padlock to secure your valuables. Lockers are available in each of the locker rooms and can be used daily.
Student Health Services
Student Health Services advances the missions and goals of Hofstra University and the Division of Student Affairs by working in concert with our colleagues to create a learning environment where high quality, accessible, cost effective health care, education, and health promotion services – along with personal responsibility and positive action – lead to success.
Student Counseling Center
Hofstra University Student Counseling Services provides psychological, vocational, and educational counseling to students in an effort to facilitate meaningful personal growth and the fullest educational development of each individual.
Student Access Services
Student Access Services (located in Suite 107 in the Mack Student Center) assists students with physical, learning, and psychological disabilities. The staff arrange for appropriate academic accommodations and help students develop the self-advocacy skills they need to succeed at Hofstra and beyond. To utilize resources at Student Access Services, students must complete a self-disclosure form and provide documentation of their disability.
