- Qualify as a licensed mental health counselor in New York State with the CACREP-accredited Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling
- Prepare for licensure and multiple career paths in a broad field of health settings with the Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage and Family Therapy
- Become a registered and board-certified Art Therapist with the CAAHEP-accredited Master of Arts (MA) in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling
- Develop the specialized skills and understanding of what is required to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, with a Master of Science (MS) in Rehabilitation Counseling or an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling in Mental Health

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the Mental Health Counseling (MA) program at Hofstra University.
