Hofstra Summer Camps and Massapequa: A Perfect Match

Hey Chief fans! Did you know that Hofstra Summer Camps offer campers entering grades K-12 an array of summer programs in arts, academics, career discovery and so much more! Is your child in little league, CYO, PAL or other Massapequa sports? Perfect their skills at Hofstra University Sports Academy Camps. Are they a member of the school drama club? Hofstra has dance and musical theater programs. Loves trips to Massapequa Preserve ? There’s even a Marine Explorer program.

For more than 30 years, Hofstra Summer Camps has been the setting for summertime memories and the start of lifelong friendships. As the largest University-based summer camp on Long Island and the entire East Coast, Hofstra Summer Camps features state of-the-art classrooms, computer and science labs, professional-level athletic fields, and air-conditioned indoor athletic facilities, including an Olympic-size pool.

A summer filled with new experiences, confidence building, personal development and, most of all, FUN, awaits your child! That’s why our campers (and staff!) return year after year. So this year, use your weekends for getting shakes at All American and playing in Marjorie Post Park. Reserve your children’s weekday adventures for Hofstra Summer Camps.

Why Do Campers Keep Coming Back to Hofstra’s Long Island Summer Camps?

Here is what some parents have to say:

Jennifer Carpenter

“After two weeks of attending the intermediate culinary program, our son Dan made us eggs, but this time I noticed a huge difference. Not only were the eggs his best ever, but his confidence, efficiency and handling of his ingredients and tools was automatic and fluid. My son said it was the best camp ever! I’ve been in the teaching field for 25 years and am a firm believer in the multisensory, multiage approach to learning, especially when life skills are involved. What these children have come away with will shape their lives forever. Dan will definitely be back in camp in 2017!”
– Jennifer Carpenter, Hofstra Summer Camps Parent

Gary Brinster

“Sam has become a fine baseball player. I love watching him play, and naturally, I am very proud of him. I particularly like watching him in the batting cages before each high school game, especially when I see him giving hitting tips to his teammates. I believe that Sam’s ability and willingness to help his teammates comes from what he has learned from the positive spirit at the NYBA.”
– Gary Brinster, New York Baseball Academy (NYBA) Parent
