The mission of the 75th anniversary committee is to engage the entire Hofstra University community, including faculty, alumni, administration, staff, students, elected representatives, scholars, and leaders in various professions and in the New York metropolitan region, in the year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of Hofstra University.
The goal of the 75th anniversary celebration and commemoration is to highlight the achievements of the University community, to celebrate the growth and the success of Hofstra University, and to bring the Hofstra community together, in a series of events and initiatives that will occur beginning September 23, 2010, and end at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year. These events will be a combination of academic conferences and lectures, alumni gatherings, athletic contests, performances and exhibitions, and student celebrations.
