Note:
A Medication Request Form must be filled out by your child's physician, and must either be sent into the camp office ahead of time or accompany the medication being dropped off.

Medication must be in the original container, including the label with your campers name, dosage, and the prescriber's name.

Frank Catalanotto, a Long Island native who enjoyed a 14-year Major League Baseball career, is the 15th head baseball coach at Hofstra University and is the new director of the New York Baseball Academy.



Ranked as one of the top 5 baseball schools in the United States, New York Baseball Academy has provided the premiere baseball instructional programs on the East Coast for more than 40 years.

The academy's programs are located on Hofstra University's 240-acre campus with its recently updated turf baseball field and indoor practice facility.

Players ages 7 through 18 can choose just one week, or up to 6 weeks of ability level instruction.

The program is held Monday - Friday from 9am-4pm, starting July 7, and running through August 15, 2025.

What to Bring / Wear
  • Each camper should wear daily: cotton T-shirt, baseball pants, and sneakers or cleats. Campers must also bring a water bottle.
  • Please bring a glove and bat.
  • Note: No catchers equipment is provided.

Sports Academy Camps are open to all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade, and/or gender).



Please note that opening of on-campus summer camp or any on-campus programs will be subject to all then-current New York State and Nassau County Department of Health requirements and guidance. Any individual visiting the Hofstra campus or attending on-campus programs or camps will be required to follow all such rules and University policies relating to health and safety. Participants will be notified of University policies prior to the start of any on-campus program.
