Transfer Students

Transferring to Hofstra will allow you to bring any Federal Pell Grant or New York State TAP for which you are eligible with you. You will need to re-apply for any loan available. Please refer to the loan information section for specifics on how the loan process works at Hofstra. You will need to be certain any loan borrowed through your previous school during the same academic year is cancelled.  You must also inform  your lender of any change to your expected graduation date.

To apply for financial aid at Hofstra, please complete the FAFSA.  If you have already completed the FAFSA please add Hofstra to the list of schools.  Adding a school is easy at www.FAFSA.ed.gov if you filed electronically, or by using Part 2 of your paper Student Aid Report (SAR). Hofstra's federal code is 002732.

If you are receiving a private scholarship at your current school, contact the school and/or the donor of the scholarship and notify them of the school change.

Review the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy to ensure that you will be meeting the standards for future semesters.
