FACULTY MENTORS LEAD STUDENT SERVICE PROGRAMS IN 2008-09
Faculty Mentors Professor Holly Seirup and Professor Brian Clocksin are leading HUHC students in two important service programs. For several years now HUHC students have performed voluntary service at a shelter and food pantry called the Mary Brennan Inn that is run by the Interfaith Nutrition Network in the Village of Hempstead. Professor Clocksin has organized an ongoing tutoring program in Walnut Street School. HUHC students volunteer weekly to work with children around homework and skill development issues.
