The Department of Anthropology in Hofstra University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences provides students with a broad-based education in human culture and civilization, including exploration through archaeology. A dedicated faculty and an invaluable field-study program allows the department to give students the cross-cultural instruction needed to understand how humans live. The Anthropology department is also home to Hofstra's African Studies and Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies programs.
