Budget and Planning

The Budget and Planning area, under the direction of Associate Provost Steven R. Costenoble, is responsible for the oversight of faculty personnel records, the administration of the faculty contract as it relates to faculty records (teaching load, benefits and so forth), and is responsible for the preparation and oversight of the academic budget throughout the year. The efforts of this area are supported by a variety of systems which manage and track faculty and budget data, and provide the basis for the Census data on faculty load and student semester hours as well as numerous reports and studies.

Additionally, Dr. Costenoble oversees three academic awards - the Stessin Book Award, the Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series, and the Teacher of the Year. He serves as adviser to two Senate Committees - Budget and Planning and Academic Computing, and represents the Provost's Office in International Studies matters.
